The Dentours packages include two sightseeing tours. The first is a three-hour trolley tour of the City of Querétaro. You will drive around the historic colonial center of the city to see the extraordinary architecture so lovingly preserved in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the Aqueduct, built on the orders of the Marquis del Villa del Villar del Aguila between 1726 and 1738 to bring water to the city and to the house of his beloved, which today is the Hotel Casa de la Marquesa. It has 74 arches and stretches for six miles.

At the Santa Cruz Convent you will see the tree whose thorns grow in the shape of a cross and reputedly grew from a staff stuck in the ground by Friar Antonio Margil de Jesus in 1697. You will visit the Casa de la Corregidora, the home of the woman who took in the rebel leaders during the Mexican War of Independence, and the Teatro de la Republica, which was the site of the trial of Emperor Maximilian after his surrender during the Siege of Querétaro and of the signing of the Mexican Constitution. The theatre is one of the many stately and beautiful buildings in the old town and continues to be a venue for music, theatre and the arts.

The second excursion will be an all-day trip that will take you to one of the natural wonders of the world, the Peña de Bernal, the third-largest monolith in the world, which towers over the village of Bernal. Then a tour of  the Freixenet winery and cellars, before heading for Cadereyta, an important mission town and archaeological site. You will taste fine wines and regional foods on this day of discovery.
